1.B)
Let the first number =X
Second number =Y
According to question,
3/4 X= 3/5 Y
∴Y= 5/4 X
Given,
Y-X= 105
5/4 X- X=105
X= 420
∴50 % of X = 420 * (50/100)=210

2.B)
832 *100 = 3200 *2*X
X= 13 %
As per question
SI *100= 4400 * (13 + 3) * 3
SI= 2112

3.A)
Let A’s present age =X years
And B’s present age = (X+8) years
As per question
(X-2)/(X+8+8) = 1/2
X= 20 years
∴B’s present age = X+8= 28 years

4.D)
Tank filled by A in 1 hours = 120/24=5 litres
Tank filled by (A+B) in 1 hours = 35/3 litres
Tank filled by B in 1 hours = 35/3-5 = 20/3 litres
∴Time taken by B to fill the tank completely = 120 /(20/3) = 18 hours

5.D)let A’s initial investment =Rs X
B’s initial investment = Rs (X + 500)
B’s profit = 5200-1600= 3600
X / (X+500)= (1600/3600) (ratio of investment of = ratio of profit)
X= 400

6.C)3 km/hr

7.D) TRICKS – Option choice
Basic
Let Shiv’s monthly salary = Rs X
Amount kept in PPF & In LIC = X * 40/100 * =2/5X
Amount kept in LIC = 2/5 X * 3/5= 6/25 X
Amount kept in PPF = 2/5 X * 2/5 = 4/25 X
As per question ,
6/25 X -4/25 X = 1600
